It is almost time for the opening of the 2009-2010 school year! We are excited for the return of our students . Our website has all of the back to school information you may need including information on the dress code, how to purchase dress code items, supply list, frequently asked questions and much more. You can access our school website from the podcast page. Be sure to check out our school twitter account as well. You can access the twitter account by clicking on the twitter tab on the top of our homepage.
Once the school year gets rolling, I will start publishing the podcasts once again. I hope you check back often and I hope to provde you with timely information about our school.
We will be offering a monthly “Parent University” this year. We would like your opinion on the topics that you think would be valuable. Please see the poll below.

Summer Time June 26, 2009

As we can all tell by the hot and humid days, summer is here! We have been gearing up for the 2009-2010 school year for some time. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our new 6th graders and the return of our 7th and 8th graders. I hope you have a restful and safe summer. Please remember that all students must continue to learn during the summer.
All students are required to read from our summer reading list. Details and book lists can be found on our school website. We also have an interactive summer book blog on our website as well. I look forward to reading your comments about the books you are reading!

Good morning!
Episode 6 complete, but edublogs is performing scheduled work on their system. As a result, I am not able to upload the podcast. I will keep trying and hopefully it will be ready soon!
Wednesday, October 8th is a late start day. School will begin at 10:30. Teachers will be working together to plan a unit based on IB standards.

Tuesday, August 19th – First Day for 6th Grade Students 8:30 A.M.– 1:30 P.M.
Tuesday, August 19th – New 7th-8th Grade Student Drop-In 2:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Wednesday, August 20th – First day for 7th and 8th grade students (Day Two for 6th Graders)
Thursday, August 28th Open House 6:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

Volleyball Try-Outs Monday, August 11 5:00 P.M. – 6:15 P.M.
8th Grade Football Tuesday, August 12 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.
7th Grade Football Wednesday, August 13 5:00P.M. – 6:30 P.M.
You must have a completed physical form on file or bring one to school BEFORE you are eligible to participate in tryouts. Physical forms can be picked up from the school between 8:30 and 4:00.
